Five Major Goals of World Politics

Published:2018-06-14 Published:2018-06-14   Author:Wang Jisi   [Small] [Middle] [Big] [More]

Security, wealth, freedom, justice, and belief have been the perennial themes, fundamental values, and ultimate goals of world politics. Power, state, democracy, rule of law, and many others are all processes, ways, and means of realizing the five ultimate goals. To study the five major goals and their interrelations helps understand the unity and diversity of local politics, narrow the academic division between comparative politics and international politics, clarify the criteria for the success or failure of states, and gain a deep understanding of the developmental trend of contemporary world politics.
