Since ancient times, Central and Eastern Europe, located between the western and eastern parts of Europe, have been very important geographically and geopolitically. Since the peoples and nations have been influenced by various civilizations, they have been subordinate to great powers from the East and West. Therefore, their social development has been characterized by strong passivity. The uncertainty about its civilization belonging and its vacillation between political positioning are norms in Central and Eastern Europe’s social development. Furthermore, the disparity between their self-identity and the perception by great powers of the East and West will persist.
