This concept allows separatists and secessionist movements to find a theoretical and ideological basis for nationalism. As a result of manipulation by political organizations, as well as the intervention by external forces, the identity of a cultural nation often becomes the main basis of the establishment of a new political nation. This is also the key factor in the frequent ethnic conflicts and widespread secessionism in the world today.
