At present, the Northeast Asian model of environmental governance is still in its infancy and in earnest need of further improvement and strengthening due to its numerous shortcomings. Specific policy options are as follows: sticking to the non-binding cooperation principle in Northeast Asian environmental governance, strengthening coordination and communication, enhancing fiscal stability, and actively promoting Northeast Asian environmental cooperation at different levels.
